Using other charging apps and roaming

Hypercharge stations appear in a number of third-party charging apps and maps. Some of those apps can start a session; others only show you where the stations are.

Through roaming arrangements, several partner apps can start a charge at Hypercharge stations — ChargeHub, BC Hydro and Electric Circuit among them. Coverage varies by region and by network.

The Hypercharge app works at every Hypercharge station, so it’s the option that always works. If a third-party app isn’t starting your charge, switch to the Hypercharge app, search for the station ID, and start from there.

See Start and stop a charging session.

If you started a session through another app

Contact that app’s support team for assistance with app, account, and billing issues. If your payment went through a third party, Hypercharge has no visibility of the transaction and can’t refund it or look up your account details. Hypercharge can only provide assistance with the physical charging station in this case.

This applies to any station where you paid through a partner app — see Sites that use the ParkedIn app.

Regardless of which app you’re using, report a station that appears broken, offline or damaged to support@hypercharge.com or call 1-888-320-2633. Include the station ID so it can be identified.

Not every charger is on the Hypercharge network. Hypercharge stations carry Hypercharge branding and a station ID printed on the unit. If a station has different branding, it belongs to another network and you’ll need that provider’s app and account — Hypercharge support can’t help with sessions on another network’s hardware.

See Find a station in the app.

Using your Hypercharge account on other networks

Roaming works in both directions — some arrangements also let Hypercharge drivers charge at partner networks’ stations. Coverage varies by region and by network.

If you want to know whether your existing charging account works at a particular station, contact support@hypercharge.com with the station ID before you rely on it.
