Manage drivers and driver groups

Driver groups are a convenient way to manage special access requirements (such as access to private charging stations or custom rates) when multiple drivers will share the same configuration on a group of charging stations.

Driver groups can be configured from the “Drivers” page in Quantev.

Before drivers can be assigned to driver groups, you need to invite them to be managed under your account. This will send them an invitation to link an existing Hypercharge account if they have one, or create a new account.

To do this, click the “New Driver” button above the Drivers table (below Driver Groups):

Next, enter the email addresses for the driver(s) to be invited. To invite a single driver, type their email address as prompted and press “Enter”. You should see the email address to be invited appear below the email address field:

If you have a number of users to invite, you can do so by pasting a list of email address (one email address per line) or by uploading a CSV file containing email addresses in the first column.

Once a driver has been invited, they can be added to driver groups and assigned to charging stations by following the steps below.

Select “New Driver Group” in the upper right of the page

Add a descriptive name for the driver group to help you remember which drivers are members and what settings are applied, ex. “Staff Drivers - Discount Access”

Next, choose the fees that will be applied for the group. The value chosen in the “Fee for level 2 stations” field will be applied for group members when the group is applied to level 2 stations, and the level 3 rate will be used for level 3 stations. This happens automatically when assigning a driver group to stations, and drivers can be applied to a mix of L2 and L3 stations simultaneously.

In the “Driver email addresses” add the email addresses of the drivers you wish to invite to manage under your account. Drivers will receive an email to link their Hypercharge account. Each email address should be entered on a new line.

Use the station filters to select the stations to apply the group to.

Click Submit to preview the update command that will be sent to update the access lists for each station. If the information in the preview is correct, type the number of stations to be modified in the field as indicated and press Confirm. You can monitor the status of your command in the management history.
